Join us in a safe and supportive environment for weekly mountain bike skill instruction, trail rides, youth fitness & patio yoga!

All programs are led by certified coaches.

All group programs listed below are limited to a maximum of 8 participants and are led by 1 certified coach plus 1 assistant/coach shadow. *Courses require a minimum of 4 participants to run and age groups may be combined based on rider ability and instructional content. A waiver is required by all participants prior to registering.*

Equipment:

Participants are encouraged to acquire the necessary equipment prior to booking their program with Edmonton Bike Club to ensure safety and positive experience. Edmonton Bike Club WILL NOT BE DOING ANY EQUIPMENT RENTALS. A few items we recommend include:

  • Helmet (REQUIRED)

  • Mask or Face Covering (REQUIRED)

  • Functioning Mountain Bike (REQUIRED)

  • Water Bottle (PROVIDED WITH REGISTRATION)

  • Glasses/Goggles

  • Comfortable athletic Clothing

  • Flat Bottom shoes

  • Gloves

  • Layers

  • Backpack

Beginner Mountain Biking Instruction

For individuals who are comfortable riding a bike with little to no mountain bike experience. We will dip our toes into overview, familiarity with bicycle components, basic operation of a mountain bike on flat terrain and some green trails around the city. This will further prepare riders with the skills and knowledge to begin their mountain bike journey.

Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30 PM

Intermediate/Advanced Mountain Biking Instruction

For participants with a good background in mountain biking, and are ready to take the next step. You will be refining your skills as a mountain bike rider and moving onto more challenging terrain and trails. You will learn the necessary techniques to progress as an experienced mountain bike rider.

Masters Mountain Biking

For beginner to intermediate riders who are looking to increase their fitness and trail skills with a certified coach and assistant. Rides will progress along a variety of dirt and single track trails throughout the river valley. Over the 4 week session riders will see general improvements in skills such as safety dismounts, root riding, body positioning, wheel lifts, riding berms and cornering. The outdoor patio will be open for post ride debrief sessions.
