Snowboard Skill Levels
ESC is introducing a skill level system for its lessons and programs this 2023-24 winter season.

Green

Green classes will teach snowboarding fundamentals to participants with little to no snowboarding experience.
Students will learn and practice skills such as skating, climbing, gliding, sideslipping and traversing. By the end of the course, students can link turns and stop while keeping balanced on easy terrain. They will also have started to complete turns on steeper terrain. Enroll today to start your snowboard journey!
Blue
Blue classes are for riders who understand fundamentals, can link turns and stops on easy terrain and have experience completing turns on steeper terrain.
After a general review, students will link heel-toe side turns and control speed with skidded turns of different sizes on steeper slopes. They will also learn to vary turn shapes by tipping and tilting the board. By the end of the class, students can carve toe and heel side turns and ride switch. Enroll today to hone your skills!
Black
Black classes are for seasoned veterans looking to push themselves to the absolute limit. Participants must be able to vary turn shape, control speed, carve toe and heel side turns and ride switch.
After a review, riders will be introduced to skills and tactics for easy bumps. By the end of the course, riders control speed, link turns on all slopes and enjoy natural snow while riding with style. Individuals enrolled into this class will learn to carve on steep slopes (angled at 30-40 degrees!). Enrol today to become a master of the hills!
