ESC Celebrates 100 Years

The historic Edmonton Ski Club has been serving local and visiting sports enthusiasts for 100 years. Established in 1911 as an alpine ski jumping facility, it was incorporated under the Societies Act on January 26, 1934. To kick off the club's next four years of growth and development, we've planned a jam packed, exciting season that celebrates our 100th anniversary, the grand opening of our new rental shop, and the introduction of plans to completely refurbish our lodge or build a brand new one.

The club has expanded to provide high quality ski and snowboard lessons, Nancy Greene and Event Card races, ski instructor courses, excellent freestyle programs, a sweet terrain park, and fun, affordable skiing and snowboarding for the whole family. We have some great events planned for the season, so keep watching this page!

Celebrate 100 years by skiing with your family on December 12, 2010 (Family Celebration Day). Your whole immediate family can get lift tickets for only $10 and rentals for only $10. You are also cordially invited to Join us January 9, 2011 for our very special 100th anniversary celebration, $10 per family lifts and $20 per family ski rentals will be offered.

The club is completely accessible to the general public, and offers a full range of skiing and snowboarding programs and services. These include beginner through advanced lessons, school programs for Edmonton and surrounding areas, and all levels of very successful alpine racing and freestyle programs.
